Located in Manhattan, New York, Fifth Avenue is the most famous avenue in the world. This is a symbol of New York wealth extending from North Street Washington Square Park (6th Street) to Harlen River Drive (143rd Street).
Fifth Avenue was founded by Joseph Winston Herbert Hopkins and is the avenue that separates the east and west streets of Manhattan, as well as the number zero point for street numbering. It is one of the most expensive streets in the world and one of the best for shopping and is also known for the “Fashion Avenue” with several luxury brands present.
Manhattan is a place where there are many landmarks of historical and cultural interest, many of them located on this boulevard. However, this avenue has some of the most famous buildings, such as the Empire State Building, the New York Public Library, the Rockefeller Center and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. Another place that attracts a large number of visitors is Apple’s glass cube, which serves as an entrance to this brand’s underground store.
It is on this avenue that is also located the Museum Mile, here we can find nine museums all in the same street. To promote this local, every year, on the second Tuesday of June, the Museum Mile Festival is held where the nine museums are open for free between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. There is also street entertainment such as outdoor activities for children, live music and performances by street performers.
On summer Sundays (or other hot Sundays) Fifth Avenue is the traditional route to many holiday parades. The best known is the St. Patricks Day Parade (March) or the LGBT Pride March (June).
Inspired by this zone of the city, Stylish Club launched a line called the Manhattan Collection. The products in this collection are elegant and sophisticated, representing luxury, as are the shops and monuments in Manhattan, especially on Fifth Avenue.
